Rental Housing Development Program
Escalating housing costs make it difficult for individuals and families with a low or moderate income to afford housing. Funds provided by Title II of the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990 allow Salt Lake County and cities within the county the flexibility to find suitable ways to expand the supply of adequate and affordable housing, particularly rental housing, for low-income and very low-income residents.
One way this is accomplished is by extending and strengthening partnerships among all levels of government and the private sector including for-profit organizations in the production and operation of affordable rental housing.
