The purpose the Home Improvement Program is to assist low- and moderate-income residents in updating and making critical repairs to their homes in order to correct housing code violations, and improve living conditions.
Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program
Salt Lake County has a loan program to help finance critical repairs to homes located in Magna, Millcreek, Kearns, and South Salt Lake City in order to meet current housing code. For more information call Housing Services at 801 352-0325, or visit their website at Housing Services of Utah.
Emergency Repairs
Assist Inc. provides grants to finance the replacement of furnaces, waterlines, and other critical home repairs. Contact Assist, Inc. at 801 355-7085 for more information.
Minor Repair Program
Senior citizens and people disabilities that limit ease of access (use a wheelchair, etc.) may qualify for funds provided by the Community Services Council to make minor home repairs, and improve accessibility. Call 801 978-2452.
