The National Association for County Community and Economic Development (NACCED) is a nonprofit national organization composed of county government agencies that administer community development, economic development, and affordable housing programs. NACCED was created as an affiliate of the National Association of Counties (NACo) in 1978 to assist in developing the technical capacity of county agencies in administering these programs. NACCED also serves as a voice within NACo to articulate the needs, concerns, and interests of these agencies. Today they serve over 120 counties, most of which are CDBG entitlements. They also have a large associate membership of consultants and technology firms. NACCED is a persistent and persuasive voice in Washington on budgetary and regulatory issues pertaining to community, economic and affordable housing development. http://www.nacced.org
